TAMARA FAY

Born and raised in Staten Island, New York. I started at an early age performing in local community theater, as well as catalog modeling and commercials.  After landing several national commercial spots, I became known as the  "Johnson and Johnson" baby shampoo girl in the early 80's. The "I want my hair to look just hers" campaign helped forward my career and put me on the radar for many more opportunities. Even at such a young age, I knew that I would have to dedicate all my time to what I loved to do most...be in front of the camera.

With the utmost commitment to my craft, I continued studying and working.  Soon booking a small recurring role on "All My Children". That was my break!  I have since had the opportunity to work with some of the most reputable actors and directors throughout my career. The Emmy award "30 Rock" and Emmy nominated "Beach Boys, An American Family" to name a few.  A list of actors and directors including Alec Baldwin, Fred Savage, Ed Burns and Chad Coleman.

While raising my two children, and remaining active in my work, I landed a supporting lead role in the Independent award winning film "Life, Love, Soul" as Jennifer Grant. That film won several awards including the Audience Award at NY's Urban World Film Festival. It was picked up for theatrical release by AMC Theaters for a nationwide limited release. It paved the way for me in independent film and I continue to work on various projects with seasoned, as well as up and coming directors.  I can be seen as an EMT in the indie film "Respect The Jux", as well as the role of  "Kate",  wife of a lawyer, in the upcoming controversial film "Two Days In Harlem.  2018 brings in the year with a  role on the pilot "SAFE".  Currently I have several national print and TV campaigns running.   I can be seen on March 28th in the season premiere of The Amercans on FX, role of Teresa Vann.

I enjoy Yoga and Pilates.  I also enjoy writing comedy and children's stories.
